An 8ft x 8ft unit takes up very little ground, and it is available here in either new or fairly used condition so you can pitch the price against how much cosmetic condition actually matters to you.

Flat doors, and why they are better here
These have flat panel doors instead of conventional shipping cargo doors. On a small container that is a real improvement in daily use. Cargo doors need their locking rods swung in the right order and they need clearance to open through a wide arc, which is exactly what you do not have in the tight spot an 8ft container usually gets put in. Flat doors are lockable, just as secure, and simply easier to get into with your hands full.
A rain guard is fitted above the doors, which sheds water clear of the door seal rather than letting it run down onto the threshold. It is a small detail that makes a noticeable difference to how dry the interior stays over a wet British winter.
