An empty container gives you 160 square feet of floor and nothing else. Stack anything more than shoulder-high and it becomes unstable, awkward to reach and impossible to inventory. This shelving system fixes that by putting the vertical space to work, running racking along the interior walls so the floor stays clear for larger items and a walkway.
The kit is designed specifically for 20ft containers and comes in two forms. Bolt-on racking fixes to the container’s own side rails for maximum rigidity; freestanding units simply drop in, which is the sensible choice if you rent the container or want to take the shelving with you.
Specification
- Sized for standard 20ft containers, also compatible with high cubes
- Bolt-on (fixed) or freestanding (portable) configurations
- Two to three adjustable shelving tiers
- Heavy-duty steel frames, rated 400–600kg per shelf
- Galvanised or powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance
- Timber or steel shelf panels
- Bolt-together assembly, no welding required
Beyond capacity, the practical gains are safety and speed: fewer trip hazards, no unstable stacks, and stock you can find without unloading half the container. Optional bins, hooks, drawer units and lighting are available, and we can quote bespoke racking for modified or side-opening containers. Free delivery anywhere in the UK.
