Most reefers have a single refrigeration unit, and if that unit stops the entire load is at risk. This 20ft carries two, one mounted at each end, running independently. That gives you a genuine backup: if one plant faults overnight, the other holds the temperature until an engineer arrives.
The same arrangement can be used the other way. Partition the box across the middle and each half has its own chiller, so you can run frozen at one end and chilled at the other from a single container and a single power supply.
