Rapid pull-down cold storage in a 20ft footprint
A blast freezer is built to take product down to temperature quickly rather than simply hold it there, and that is the job this unit does. It runs across a working range of -40°F to 70°F, so the same box handles hard freezing, chilling and controlled ambient storage as your production changes through the week. As a guide to output, the manufacturer’s figures show roughly 22,000lb of fish brought from a 41°F (5°C) core down to 0°F (-18°C) in about 44 hours, with a total capacity of 12,600 kcal/hr (49,600 Btu/hr) at 100°F ambient.
Inside there is a flat floor you can wheel trolleys and pallet trucks straight onto, LED lighting, walk-in strip curtains that hold temperature while the door is open, and an easy-open butcher door for repeated access during a shift. Insulation is heavy throughout: 90mm in the roof, 65mm in the side walls, 81mm in the door panels and 101/51mm underfoot.
