Offshore containers are a different class of equipment to the boxes that sit on building sites. They are built to be craned between a supply vessel and a platform in poor weather, which means the whole unit is engineered around dynamic lifting loads rather than static stacking. The steel is heavier and the corner castings are strengthened well beyond a standard dry ISO container.
Every unit we supply is built to the DNV 2.7-1 standard, and the construction is fully traceable. Copies of the production certification, and of the sling test certification where applicable, are made available with the container.
Specification
- 10ft DNV offshore container, new and used condition available
- Certified to the DNV 2.7-1 standard
- Heavier gauge steel than a standard dry ISO container
- Strengthened corner castings for repeated crane lifts
- Fully traceable construction with production certification available
- Certified lifting slings typically supplied
Two points to raise at enquiry stage. First, slings are not guaranteed on every unit, so if certified lifting slings are essential to your operation you must say so before you place the order. Second, these are built for oil, gas and offshore work and are not the economical choice for ordinary onshore storage: if the container is going to stand in a yard, a standard 10ft will do the same job for far less.
