An extra foot of headroom changes what fits
A high cube is 9ft 6in externally instead of the standard 8ft 6in. One foot sounds marginal until you try to stand a pallet of stacked goods upright, get a telehandler forks-up inside, or fit out a workspace where a person needs to stand under a ceiling that has insulation and lighting below the roof line. For conversions in particular that foot is often the difference between comfortable and cramped.
What Grade A means here
Grade A is the top of the used market. These units are wind and watertight, structurally sound and free from major defects, with good flooring and solid walls. There will be minimal cosmetic wear, because they have worked for a living, but nothing that affects how the container performs. You are paying used prices for something that will do the job of a new one.
Construction is corten steel throughout, which handles British weather, coastal exposure and temperature swings without special treatment, and heavy-duty double doors at one end give full-width access.
Typical uses
- Tall storage: racking, stacked pallets, plant and machinery
- Workshops and studios where headroom matters
- Container offices and garden rooms
- Farm and equestrian storage
Modifications are available if you need them, including personnel doors, windows, insulation and ventilation. Tell us what the unit is for and we will spec it. We cover UK delivery in full, whatever the postcode.
