A full-length cold room at standard height
This is a single 40ft reefer at standard 8ft 6in external height. Standard height is the right choice more often than people assume: it clears low gateways, canopies and yard height restrictions that a 9ft 6in high cube will not, and on a static installation the extra foot of a high cube mostly adds volume you then have to keep cold.
Internally you have 39ft 5in to work with, which is close to 12 metres of continuous chilled or frozen floor.
Why factory-fitted plant matters
The refrigeration unit on these is installed at the factory as part of the container, not retrofitted afterwards. That integration is what delivers both the coldest achievable temperatures and the lowest humidity of any container type. Humidity control is the part that gets overlooked and then causes the problems: heat, mould and condensation ruin far more stock than a few degrees of drift ever does.
