Nearly forty feet of unobstructed side access
Most side-access containers give you an opening in the flank. This one gives you very nearly the whole flank. Combined with the 9ft 6in high cube height, you can bring a forklift square on to any pallet in the container and lift it out without touching anything else, and you can do it with the mast raised.
That makes it particularly effective for pallet storage, for anything long or oversized that will not turn through an end door, and for emergency response stores where kit has to be reached in minutes rather than dug out.
Two details worth knowing
The locking handles sit at waist height rather than up on the door leaf, so opening a 40ft run of doors is a straightforward job rather than an awkward one. Worth having when someone is doing it several times a day.
The other point is one we would rather you heard from us than discovered on delivery: a side opening container has a noticeably thicker bottom rail than a standard end opener, around 453mm. That is the structure that replaces the missing side wall and it is not optional. It means a step up into the container from ground level, so factor it into how you plan to load, particularly if you were expecting to run a pallet truck straight in.
